Wrestling and marathon metaphors aside, Unifor avoids strike with FCA deal

FCA Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne became personally involved in the Canadian labour talks, lending his usual candour to the table. By Megan Lampinen

It was another mid-night press conference for Unifor as a very tired Jerry Dias, President of the Canadian union, confirmed that a tentative deal had been reached with FCA. The deadline had been set for 10 October, and up until the last few minutes the two sides were 'wrestling' over key issues.
