The 5 millionth clutch of Schaeffler China was produced at the Taicang factory, marking a new stage in Schaeffler’s production capacity of clutches in China.
“It took us five years from 2006 to 2010 to realize an output of 1 million clutches. And now, it only takes us five years to 5 million, which is a proof of our extraordi-nary productivity and competitiveness,” said Mr. Yang Hanbing, President Automo-tive of Schaeffler Greater China.
Schaeffler employees from production lines, supporting functions and clutch busi-ness unit jointly celebrated the moment of success at Taicang Plant III. “Schaeffler entered China’s clutch market ten years ago. It is not an easy job to achieve what we have done today. Despite of challenges over the past decade, we have main-tained customer satisfaction with close partnership with different functions and re-gional teams. In addition, the Production, Logistics, Manufacturing Technology, Quality and other departments and teams all made great efforts for the successful production of the 5 millionth clutch,” said Mr. Su Hui, BU Vice President of Clutch System, Automotive of Schaeffler Greater China.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Schaeffler’s operations in China.
