GKN Driveline, the global leader in automotive driveline technology, has appointed Adam Touhig as President of its operations in Japan
In his new role Adam will be responsible for GKN Driveline’s business in Japan, as well as South Korea, continuing to develop the company’s leading position in conventional, all-wheel drive and electrified drivelines with the country’s automakers.
Adam has worked for GKN since 1989 and has spent the last 15 years of his career in roles within Asia Pacific, the majority of which have been in Japan. He moved to the country in 2000 and has worked on a number of important customer accounts in Japan, including Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mazda.
His most recent role was as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Program Management in Asia Pacific, leading sales and program teams across nine countries for the past four years. Adam replaces Hidehito Takashi in this prestigious role.

GKN Driveline has extensive operations in Japan and employs 1,364 people across the country. It has two manufacturing facilities in Tochigi and Nagoya, two offices in Tokyo and Toyota city, plus a Technical Centre and Proving Ground in Daikoji, Tochigi. In addition, GKN operates one plant and one office in South Korea, Cheonan and Seoul.
