Adient PLC (NYSE: ADNT), the global leader in automotive seating and interiors today announced that its Board of Directors has declared the company’s first quarterly dividend, of US$0.275 per ordinary share.
This dividend will be paid on April 20, 2017 to shareholders of record at the close of business on March 28, 2017.
“The approval of Adient’s first dividend payment comes just six months after our establishment as an independent company,” said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer R. Bruce McDonald.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates our confidence in the improving long-term cash generating ability of the company, our expectations for continued strong financial performance and our commitment to return capital to shareholders. We believe our solid balance sheet allows us the flexibility to pay a dividend while continuing to pursue strategic growth investments and pay down debt,” said McDonald.
