Connected Vehicle Services Company to Provide OTA Demonstrations Using OTAmatic Product Offering and Vector Flash Bootloader and Controllers
Airbiquity®, a global leader in connected vehicle services, and Vector, a leading manufacturer of automotive electronic systems, components, networking, and software tools, have collaborated to enable AUTOSAR (Automotive Open Systems Architecture) compliant over-the-air (OTA) software updates for vehicle electronic control units (ECUs). The innovative integration will be demonstrated at Vector Congress North America 2017 in Novi, Michigan on November 7-8.
With an increasing dependency on software and ECUs to power advanced vehicle systems and features, automakers leveraging OTA software updates will secure significant benefits such as reduced software related recall expenses, faster recall compliance, improved cybersecurity response, and the ability to deliver vehicle performance and feature enhancements post-consumer purchase.
