The end of March will see changes in the employee representatives on the supervisory board of Robert Bosch GmbH. Hartwig Geisel (60) will be stepping down as deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Robert Bosch GmbH at midnight on March 27, 2020, and retiring from the board. He has worked for the company for nearly 46 years. Geisel began his Bosch career in 1974 as an apprentice machine fitter and, as the youth and apprentices’ representative at the Feuerbach location, showed his social commitment from an early stage. Geisel has been chairman of the central works council of Robert Bosch GmbH since 2017. In 2018, he assumed the position of deputy chairman of the Bosch supervisory board, which he had been a member of since 2007. Franz Fehrenbach, the chairman of the supervisory board of Robert Bosch GmbH and the managing partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, said that Geisel had been instrumental in upholding the trustworthy social partnership at Bosch: “The members of our governing bodies always had a lot of respect for Hartwig Geisel, who was well-known for his level-headed, solution-driven demeanor. With his experience and constructive arguments, he played an active part in shaping the change in the world of work, and helped achieve a consensus in many decision-making processes.”
Effective March 28, 2020, Geisel’s place as deputy chairman of the supervisory board and chairman of the Robert Bosch GmbH central works council will be taken by Frank Sell (44). As chairman of the works council in Feuerbach, Sell has been representing Bosch employees’ interests since 2017. “We wish Frank Sell all the best and every success with his tasks,” Fehrenbach said.
