On 19 June 2017, CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers) will join PwC and AutoAnalysis in a one-hour online panel discussion focusing on the impact of Brexit on the automotive industry in the UK and Europe.
An expert panel made up of CLEPA’s Secretary General Sigrid de Vries, Harald Wimmer of PwC and Ian Henry of AutoAnalysis will debate the impact on the automotive industry of the UK’s 2016 EU referendum decision, and consider what might happen as the Brexit process advances.
‘Webinar: Brexit, one year on: impact on Europe’s auto industry‘ will also discuss likely scenarios for the automotive industry in Europe and the UK once the UK leaves the EU.

Having triggered Article 50, the UK is due to officially exit the European Union at the end of March 2019. Over the two-year period leading up to that date, the UK government must decide on its Brexit strategy and negotiate this with the other EU member states.
During the Automotive World event – which coincides with the official start of UK-EU Brexit negotiations – the expert panel will consider the impact of the recent UK general election on these negotiations, and how light vehicle and commercial vehicle OEMs and suppliers can prepare for Europe’s post-Brexit business environment.
