Geely Auto is proud to announce today that the Geely GX9 SUV achieved a five star result in the C-NCAP crash test, putting in on par with international rivals.
As Geely Auto’s first full size seven seat SUV, the GX9 is aimed at both business and family user alike, therefore safety for all seven occupants was at the forefront of the vehicles development. The GX9 is built around the “Geely Total Safety Management” concept that features a high tensile steel closed cage body that is paired with 7 airbags to offer all around protection in case of any accident. All rear passenger seats are also equipped with ISOFIX child seat anchors to provide safety for child passengers.
This is not the first time that Geely vehicles have received five star awards from C-NCAP, previously the company has received five star awards for the GX7 SUV and also the Geely Panda achieved afive star result – the first time a Chinese small car had achieved this award. The GX9 is the first Chinese made seven seat SUV to go through this rigorous testing, and shows Geely’s commitment to safety.
The Geely GX9 has already launched on the market in China and will expand into select global markets over the course of 2015.
