Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced a summary of automobile production, Japan domestic sales, and export results for the month of July 2013.
Production in Japan for the month of July 2013 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the eighth consecutive month (since December 2012).
Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the 18th consecutive month (since February 2012), setting record high production for the month of July. This includes record high production for the month of July in USA and all-time monthly record for production in Asia.
Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year decrease for the third consecutive month (since May 2013).
Honda’s automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of July 2013 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the seventh consecutive month (since January 2013).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 12th consecutive month (since August 2012).
Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the 19th consecutive month (since January 2012).

Fit was the industry’s fourth best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of July 2013 with sales of 11,553 units. Step WGN was the industry’s ninth best-selling car with sales of 6,715 units.

N BOX was the industry’s second best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of July 2013 with sales of 19,736 units. N-ONE was the industry’s ninth best selling car with sales of 9,030 units.
