Imelda Labbé, hitherto Managing Director ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland, becomes the new Head of Volkswagen Group After Sales worldwide from the summer. She succeeds Fred Kappler, who continued to hold this function in addition to his new post as Head of Group Sales which he took up at the beginning of this year. Frank Jürgens, hitherto Head of Service at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand in Germany, becomes Managing Director ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland from the summer.
Imelda Labbé (48) holds a degree in business administration and has been Managing Director and Spokesperson of the Board of Management of ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland since 2013. She previously held various positions at General Motors and Opel from 1996 – these included Director Quality in Antwerp, Executive Director After Sales, Executive Director Sales, Marketing & After Sales Germany, and was Executive Director Financial Services at Opel prior to moving to ŠKODA AUTO Deutschland.
Frank Jürgens (49) is a business economist and has been with Volkswagen since 1985. Following various positions in sales and field service management, he headed the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand in the Czech Republic. He moved to SEAT in 2002, where he held responsibility for sales in Germany, returning to Volkswagen Passenger Cars in 2006 as Head of the Central Region. He was appointed Sales Manager for the German market at Volkswagen in fall 2008, and has been Head of Service Germany at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand since 2015.
Fred Kappler (58) has held responsibility for Group Sales since January 1, 2016. He studied business science and joined Volkswagen as a trainee in 1982. He held various responsibilities in the export section of Sales at Volkswagen AG from 1983. He was given responsibility for sales in North-West Europe at the Volkswagen brand from 1995. He moved to China as First Vice President and CFO of FAW-Volkswagen in 1997. He became Head of Sales Germany for the Volkswagen brand in 2000, Board Member for Sales at ŠKODA AUTO in 2004, Head of Sales Volkswagen Genuine Parts in 2009, and Head of Group Services in 2011.
