IMI Precision Engineering, a world leader in motion and fluid control technologies, is exhibiting at the prestigious Hannover Fair, 23-27 April 2018, Hall 23, Stand A40. It will show its latest range of connected IMI Norgren products that are being developed to keep pace with Industry 4.0. Product and technical experts will be on the stand to answer factory motion control questions and advise the best solution.

In addition to its portfolio of actuators, valves, pressure monitoring controls and air preparation products, the future range of IMI Norgren electric actuators will be revealed. Also on display will be a demonstration of connected products with Industrial EtherNet and IO-Link technology. The products allow customers to carry out condition monitoring such as lifecycle projection, predictive maintenance and therefore reduce unexpected machine downtime.

In addition to its products, IMI Precision Engineering’s team will also show how its digital capability is enhancing its services for customers. The market leading 24/7 e-commerce site offers real time price, availability, and online ordering. Online configurators assist customers to identify the most appropriate product arrangement for their application, and detailed technical data, brochures and catalogues are available to download. And for engineers on the move, the IMI Norgren Express appuses easy product recognition to revolutionise how they locate and order parts for their machinery.

Chris Prince, Global Engineering and New Product Development Director at IMI Precision Engineering, explains: “Industry 4.0 is at the centre of our new product development process. We work with customers to help them realise their own ambitions by providing them with great products. By giving their machines connectivity, and in the future intelligent predictive maintenance, customers will have the ability to plan better, work more safely and efficiently, and reduce costs.

“Whether our customers plan to take small steps, or jump in to Industry 4.0, they can do so with the knowledge we’ll be right there with them. Our range of high performing, high quality products and services already help move man’s most marvellous machines.
