The conference is North America’s only event devoted to the automotive interior and Inteva is a platinum sponsor of the event for the 10thconsecutive year.
Mike Jary, Engineering Manager for Interior Systems Advanced Development, will discuss the various technologies that are enabling lightweighting of the automotive interior as part of the panel discussion, “Lightweighting Interiors.” The session will explore numerous technologies and strategies for removing weight in the cabin
while still enhancing comfort, quiet and aesthetics. Jary will discuss:
- The importance of lightweighting
- How the vehicle interior contributes to lightweighting
- Progression of technology enabling lightweighting
- Technology enablers including CAE, materials, tooling and equipment
The panel will take place at 11 a.m.
Aidano Nascimento, Design Studio Manager, will share observations and analysis of the past, present and future of the automotive cockpit during the panel discussion, “Designing the Cockpit of the Future.” The session will focus on the range of technologies that will begin transforming how we interact with our cars and what the near-term cockpit, instrument panel and Human Machine Interface will look like for the next several product cycles. Nascimento will share insights on:
- Transformation of the cockpit
- Mega-trends influencing the cockpit
- Interior trends influencing the cockpit
- Using inspiration to design the experience
The panel will take place at 3:45 p.m.
