According to data by AVTOSTAT analytical agency, published in November, 33.9% out of 41 M passenger cars registered in Russia are LADA vehicles which makes 13.8 M cars. LADA brand continues to hold the status of the Russia’s bestseller.
As of January-October 2015, 4 out of 10 bestselling cars on the Russian Market are carrying LADA logo. These are Granta (leader in the 600K segment), Kalina, Largus and 4×4. Start of new LADA model sales – Vesta and XRAY – will furthermore strengthen LADA positions on the market, first of all increasing the brand’s share in the big cities, in particular in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.
To remind, production of LADA cars started on April 19, 1970. There were over 28 M cars produced. Apart for Togliatti site, sites in Izhevsk and Argun also produce LADAs. Previously assembly of models from Togliatti was deployed in various Russian cities (Syzran, Naberezhnye Chelny, Serpukhov), in Ukraine (Kherson, Keremchug, Lutsk, Cherkassy, Zaporozhye), Kazakhstan, Egypt, Finland, Ecuador.
