Lookers SEAT Manchester has illustrated the power and importance of video in its aftersales customer service experience after coming away victorious from the 2018 CitNOW Awards.

The dealership won Best Workshop CitNOW video at an afternoon awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, with the judging panel acknowledging the team’s use of the video technology as the height of industry best practice.

The panel applauded the site’s videos for being friendly and relatable, while still being authoritative and providing a high level of detail and advice.

CitNOW video technology has become a vital part of the personalised customer service experience within the motor industry, allowing customers to receive bespoke videos on everything from the arrival of their new car in the showroom to detailed reportsfrom within the workshop.

Lookers were also acknowledged in the Most Creative use of CitNOW category, with a video by Parts Manager Graeme Parkinson being Highly Commended.

The video features Graeme getting carried away with the Grand National weekend and taking on the role of horse racing commentator while outlining the current deals on offer from his division.

Held at iconic home of BAFTA in London’s Piccadilly, this was the fourth year of the CitNOW Awards, which now attracts almost 1,000 entries across all groups, brands and countries.

Other winners included Arnold Clark for Best Sales CitNOW Video, Bartons Wynnum for Best Overseas CitNOW Video and Trustford Wilmslow for Most Creative use of Video.

John Stokes, Brand Director Lookers SEAT, Skoda and Kia, said: “We are very proud to have won Best Workshop CitNOW video as we have made a huge effort to make our videos as engaging and informative as possible. CitNOW has become a vital tool for us as we look to build strong relationships with our customers.”

As one of the sponsors of the event, Lookers also handed out its own award for Best Lookers Sales Video to Christopher Wilson of Lookers Land Rover Colchester.

Alistair Horsburgh, CEO at CitNOW, said: “Lookers have demonstrated CitNOW’s potential to inform, engage and entertain customers through personalised videos, setting an excellent example for its employees. While CitNOW can be used primarily to inform, Lookers have proved that it can also engage and entertain. We look forward to seeing what else its dealerships come up with over the coming months.”
