Mack Trucks displayed its range of Mack® Granite® models through an in-booth Augmented Reality (AR) experience at World of Concrete 2021, June 8-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Through the Mack AR Truck Builder app loaded on tablets in the Mack booth, show attendees could quickly build customized Granite models to their fleet specs. It also allowed them to view their trucks in real-time 3D on large screens in the booth for an in-depth review from any angle, providing an unparalleled way to see a detailed preview of their truck.
“The AR technology allowed the concrete industry professionals who stopped by the Mack booth an efficient and effective way to get a detailed view of a Granite model, built to their specifications, and see why it’s the right truck for the variety of jobs they do,” said John Walsh, Mack Trucks vice president of marketing. “The Mack AR Truck Builder experience provided an immersive way to showcase the full breadth of the Mack Granite offering using a significantly smaller booth footprint.”
Show attendees could quickly build customized Granite models to their fleet specs, starting by pointing one of Mack’s tablets loaded with the Mack AR Truck Builder app at the Granite model Mack had on display. Attendees chose from core Mack powertrain specs and other features, including the ability to select from an unlimited number of colors, add their company logo and select between a standard mixer, bridge mixer or dump body.
In addition to the opportunity for a large, 3D review of their trucks, participants were also emailed their comprehensive spec sheet with a rendered image of their custom Granite model for future reference with the Mack Trucks team and their local Mack dealer.
