With Birgit Bauer and Moises Mendes Costa as Office Managers, MAN Truck & Bus once again has a presence in the German capital as well as at the nerve centre of the EU.

On 1 October 2016, Birgit Bauer took charge of the Berlin office of MAN Truck & Bus. She has previously worked as a journalist in the field of transport and logistics. As Chief Editor at Springer Fachmedien Munich, Bauer was responsible for the VerkehrsRundschau and Omnibusrevue magazines, among other publications. Since October 2016, she has been representing the interests of MAN Truck & Bus AG in the German capital, and now works in close collaboration with the MAN headquarters in Munich to act as the contact person for all policy issues concerning commercial vehicles, passenger transport and freight transport. Birgit Bauer is the successor to Dirk Höke, who is now responsible for policy issues at Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH. The Berlin office is located at Charlottenstraße 43 in Berlin Mitte.

On 1 November 2016, Moises Costa took up his post as head of the MAN Office in Brussels, where he is responsible for representing the interests of MAN Truck & Bus AG at the very heart of the European Union. His role is to provide an independent voice for MAN in the labyrinthine workings of the European Union which have a significant influence on the company’s day-to-day business. Between 2009 and 2013, Moises Costa worked for MAN Latin America in his home country of Brazil, which included work in the field of international government relations. After leaving MAN Latin America, Costa held various academic posts in political science departments at Brown University, the University of Illinois and Brigham Young University.

“We are very pleased to have staff back in Berlin and in Brussels who can follow political developments and act as a point of contact on the ground in the event of any questions directed at MAN Truck & Bus,” explains Stefan Klatt, Head of Corporate Communication and Public Affairs at MAN Truck & Bus.
