Award for innovative and differentiated reporting in three formats
This year, the MAN Group’s Corporate Responsibility Report won the European Excellence Award in Stockholm in the category CSR Report. MAN prevailed over competitors such as Deutsche Telekom and Enel. The jury was particularly convinced by the innovative combination of three formats: the MAN CR Online Journal, the MAN CR Journal, and the MAN GRI Report.
This year, MAN relied on differentiated reporting. It was a first that corporate responsibility presented its achievements in an online version. In its report entitled “Corporate Responsibility Report 2014,” the Company chose an innovative form for publishing its activities in the field of sustainability. The website cr-report2014.man.eu includes multi-media and interactive information on the Company’s CR performance in 2014 and provides to customers, employees, and the interested public a large variety of interesting facts, examples from sites, and international impressions. It uses online reports, video clips, and presents interactive figures and dates. The CR Journal complements the central online presentation. It provides a clear summary of all CR activities of the Online Journal and the GRI Report 2014 in a printed version and in PDF format. MAN’s GRI Report 2014 now also meets the new G4 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). It provides detailed information and indicators for analysts, investors, and other experts. With these three formats, MAN offers its stakeholders a report geared towards its target groups making CR reporting more efficient.

The CR Report highlights topics where we assume our responsibilities and share them with our employees. We are proud that the positive response even extends into the groups of experts.”
The European Excellence Award honors outstanding projects in PR and communications in various industries and fields of communications. The members of the international jury are top-level experts. The European Excellence Award is rewarded by the “Communication Director,” an international magazine for corporate communications and public relations in Europe. More than 1,600 companies from various industries competed for the award in 2015.
