The 2018 Suppliers Awards ceremony took place on the evening of Thursday, October 25, at the “Aventure Michelin” in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The awards were presented to representatives of the winning companies by Jean-Dominique Senard, CEO and Managing General Partner of the Michelin Group, and four members of the Group Executive Committee.
Given that purchasing costs represent more than 60 percent of the Group’s revenue, the high quality of the relationships Michelin enjoys with its suppliers is seen as a key contributing factor to its success.
The Michelin Supplier Awards are the result of a robust evaluation process which places the emphasis on excellence in four domains: the quality of the products or services provided, the added value they create for Michelin, innovation, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
