The New Generation DAF XF has been awarded ‘Fleet Truck of the Year 2022’ at the UK’s Motor Transport (MT) Awards in London. DAF has received the prestigious acknowledgement for the fourth time in a row.
The New Generation XF is part of DAF’s New Generation vehicles for long and heavy haulage, also including the XG and XG⁺ models. They are the first and only trucks on the market complying with the new EU Masses & Dimensions regulations. This results in industry-leading efficiency, safety and driver comfort, realized through excellent aerodynamics, very low window belt lines and unmatched interior space.
DAF sets a record by winning the MT Award for the fourth time in a row, and also earns its fifth Fleet Truck title in seven years. This brings the DAF and Leyland brands to 21 category wins since the first edition of the awards in 1986.
The Motor Transport Awards is a hugely important event in the UK transport industry calendar, with winners recognized for their outstanding achievements. Awards are bestowed by an influential judging panel comprising individuals from high profile operators across the transport spectrum.
