Philip Calhoun is vice president, Manufacturing, Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant, a position to which he was appointed in September 2018. In this role, Calhoun is responsible for the operation of Nissan’s vehicle assembly plant in Canton, Mississippi, including safety, quality, operations, productivity and environmental compliance.
Previously, Calhoun was senior director, Manufacturing Operations, Nissan Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant.
Prior to joining Nissan in 2017, Calhoun was an executive vice president at Michigan-based Total Quality Engineering. Additionally, Calhoun spent 25 years at Ford Motor Company serving in various leadership positions in the company’s global manufacturing operations.
Calhoun attended the University of Michigan and DePaul University as an undergraduate, studying mechanical engineering and lean manufacturing. He holds a master’s in finance from New York University, a master’s in economics from the London School of Economics and a master’s in manufacturing management from the HEC-Paris School of Management. He is based in Canton, Mississippi.
