Nokia Growth Partners (NGP), the independent fund manager sponsored by Nokia, participates in the corporate venture building session at Slush together with Nokia Technologies CTO and Nokia Chairman of the Board. The fireside chat takes place on the first day of Slush and speakers include Nokia Technologies CTO Ramzi Haidamus and NGP’s Partners David Tang and Upal Basu. The discussion is led by Nokia Chairman of the Board, Risto Siilasmaa.
The speakers share learnings from how an independent venture capital firm and a large tech organization work together in the innovation space, building billion-dollar businesses, as well as their personal experiences from building and investing in successful companies . David Tang and Upal Basu, who are spearheading NGP’s activities in China and India, will also discuss NGP’s largest successes in the respective markets, including the three billion-dollar companies recently announced, UCWeb, GanJi and Quikr.
