Peter Ernst, Head of SUMEBore Technology, Oerlikon has been confirmed as a speaker in the commercial vehicle powertrain innovation track at Automotive Megatrends India 2015.
Ernst has been Head of SUMEBoreTechnology at Oerlikon Metco in Switzerland since 2007. He is responsible for the global technology and market development for the cylinder bore coating business.
His previous positions at Sulzer include: Head of Materials and Surfaces and Head of Sales and Marketing at Sulzer’s corporate research center in Switzerland.
He started his career as a guest researcher in the pipe and tube research laboratory of Nippon Steel in Japan. He then moved to ABB Corporate Research based in Switzerland as the Group Leader for high temperature materials. He later became Head of Materials and Process Technology at ABB and Alstrom Power’s corporate research center.
Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-track conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The panel on day one will cover the key megatrends which look set to shape the country’s commercial vehicle industry over the next ten years and beyond.
