PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) today announced two executive appointments effective Nov. 1.
Dave Cole, currently PPG vice president, packaging coatings, will become vice president, architectural coatings, U.S. and Canada. He will report to PPG President and CEO Michael McGarry.
Ken West, currently PPG director of specialty products in the company’s architectural coatings, U.S. and Canada business will become global vice president, packaging coatings. West will report to PPG Executive Vice President Viktor Sekmakas.
“These executives have demonstrated strong performance in delivering growth in their respective businesses,” McGarry said. “We look forward to their continued contributions as PPG continues to drive value for our customers, employees and shareholders.”
Scott Sinetar, currently PPG vice president, architectural coatings, U.S. and Canada, will retire from the company effective March 1, 2016. Sinetar joined PPG in 1989 when it acquired OLYMPIC® paints and stains. He held a series of sales and management positions before being named to his current position in 2006. Sinetar played a significant role in the company’s acquisitions of Porter Paints in 1998 and the North American architectural coatings business of AkzoNobel in 2013. He also oversaw development of PPG’s company-owned stores network and growth of the company’s consumer paint brands in home-improvement centres and retailers.
