Renault Trucks and emlyon business school have joined together to create a Sales School, due to open its doors on 2 October 2017. Each year 15 people, both men and women, will join a sandwich course, alternating between emlyon business school and the Renault Trucks network. At the end of the one-year training period, the apprentices will then be offered permanent employment contracts within the Renault Trucks distribution network. Based on the “Company Inside” model created by The Adecco Group and emlyon business school to bridge the gap between schools and companies, this partnership is part of the Volvo group’s global partnership program with further education.
The Renault Trucks Sales School will be opening its doors on 2 October 2017, in partnership with emlyon business school. With the teaching programme jointly managed by Renault Trucks and emlyon business school, 15 young French-speaking apprentices are set to be trained in sales methods and commercial strategy applied to industrial vehicles. The sandwich course will last one year, with one week of classes (taught both at emlyon business school and on the Renault Trucks site) for every three weeks spent in the Renault Trucks distribution network.
“The Sales School has been created with and for the Renault Trucks distribution network”, explained Jean-Claude Bailly, Managing Director of Renault Trucks France. “We are aiming to offer innovative training solutions to make our network attractive and efficient. The sales school will enable us to integrate and develop the talents that will boost the development of Renault Trucks in France.” This is designed to be a long-term partnership and will enable the company to recruit between 12 and 15 sales advisors each year, specifically trained to meet client expectations.
Participants will be recruited by Spring – Adecco Group, which will pre-select candidates, conduct personality tests and interviews, as well as setting role-plays. The recruitment sessions will take place in Lyon on 7 and 27 June, in Paris on 12 June and in Bordeaux on 22 June 2017.
Throughout the year-long training period, the students will be hired on permanent interim contracts and at the end of the year, be given permanent appointment contracts within the Renault Trucks network.
The partnership between Renault Trucks and emlyon business school is part of the Volvo group’s global partnership program with further education, the Academic Partner Program, focusing on the recruitment of talent, research and training.
