Results from Auto Express 2018 Driver Power Survey show GEM is once again the UK’s number one breakdown recovery provider
- GEM’s customers ‘more likely to recommend GEM than members of any other breakdown organisation’

RESULTS FROM the 2018 Auto Express Driver Power Survey show that GEM Motoring Assist has kept its place as the UK’s number one breakdown recovery provider. The result means GEM has occupied the top position for eight out of the past 10 years.
The survey showed that GEM customers were more likely to recommend its service to others than members of any other breakdown organisation, and that the simple purchase process offered by GEM was the best.
The Auto Express accolade follows a Which? magazine survey from late May which put GEM in number one position and gave GEM ‘Which? Recommended Provider’ status.
Commenting on the Auto Express award, GEM chief executive Paula Williams said: “We are thrilled to have retained the top spot this year, and we thank everyone who voted for us.
“In what has become an increasingly competitive marketplace, I am hugely grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm shown by so many GEM members. It is of course very satisfying to see that our members are more likely to recommend us to friends and family than members of any other breakdown organisation.

GEM was previously voted number one for breakdown cover in the 2017, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, 2010 and 2008 Auto Express Driver Power Surveys, and was runner up in 2016, 2012 and 2009.
