Thalavai Venkatesan, Head – Diesel & Gasoline Programs, Engine Management Systems, Continental has been confirmed as a speaker in the Car Powertrain Innovation track for Automotive Megatrends India 2015.

Thalavai Venkatesan joined Continental in 2007 as a Group Leader for System Integration and Calibration, Powertrain Division. He has expanded the R&D footprint by setting up different engineering teams and facilities in Bangalore. Currently he heads the R&D programs for diesel & gasoline engine management systems. In addition to this he is also responsible for Malaysia & Iran.

He started as a calibration engineer with Delphi TVS Diesel Systems on combustion optimization and vehicle performance. He then moved onto Delphi Diesel Systems France and UK for the common rail fuel injection system development. He was the systems and calibration engineer for one of the first Indian common rail diesel programs.

Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-track conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The Car Powertrain Innovation track on day two will cover the key breakthroughs in light vehicle powertrain technology that will lead to greater fuel economy and emissions reduction in India over the next 10 years and beyond.
