Hexagon Modern Classics is delighted to offer one of the lowest mileage Porsche 911 3.2 Carreras in the world for sale, having completed just 4,429 miles in its 31 years of life.

Meticulously looked after both inside and out, the Porsche America, left-hand-drive Carrera has been stored in a garage since new and is presented in almost as-new condition. As an example of the ultimate Eighties icon, this remarkable machine has to be one of the best in the world.

The Carrera 3.2 followed the SC series in 1984 and was the last wave of the original 911. It was replaced in 1989 by the 964, which featured new styling, electronics, brakes and suspension, and meant the Carrera 3.2 was the last of the ‘impact bumper’ 911s and the last to have forged alloy Fuchs wheels.

The ultra-low-mileage car on sale through Hexagon is a 1985 model, boasting a 3.2-litre flat-six engine with 231bhp and 284Nm of torque hooked up to Porsche’s 915 five-speed manual gearbox. Power doesn’t come at the expense of efficiency, though. The 3.2 was fitted with a redesigned engine inlet and exhaust system upon launch, as well as a Digital Engine Management ignition system (DME) paired with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel metering. This enabled the car to cut off fuel when coasting.

Its metallic Garnet Red paintwork is flawless, while the black leather interior is pristine. The cabin comes complete with air conditioning, electric windows, an electric sunroof and cruise control, but one of the most endearing period features is the Blaupunkt Tucson Cassette/Radio, complete with 60 Watt amplifier and graphic equaliser.

This car has sports shock absorbers but not the famous whale tail – to many eyes ensuring the purity of the 911 shape. Completing the package is, of course, a full service invoice history, original handbook, jack and toolkit. Plus, the buyer will benefit from a 12-month warranty and a fresh MoT.

Paul Michaels, chairman of Hexagon Classics, said: “This is a massive opportunity for someone to purchase a true collector’s item. It is always difficult to find 911s of this era with low mileage – they were built to be used daily after all – but to find a Carrera 3.2 with less than 5,000 miles on the clock is almost unheard of. This model has been perfectly preserved and is ideal for a Porsche enthusiast who wants to enjoy the raw 911 experience.”
