Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, has announced the appointment of Lone Fønss Schrøder as vice chairman of the Board. Fønss Schrøder has been a member of the Volvo Cars Board since 2010 and replaces Mikael Olsson.
Mikael Olsson joined the Board in 2013 and was appointed vice chairman in 2015. He leaves the Board to focus on other assignments. Mr Olsson will remain a member of Volvo Cars’ Nomination Committee, which now consists of Mikael Olsson, Hans Olov Olsson and Li Shufu, with Hans Olov Olsson as chairman.
After eight years of service, Peter Zhang will also leave the Board to engage in other businesses.
