25,000 UK jobs threatened by Trump auto tariffs, says IPPR

The US stands as the second-largest export destination for UK-made cars after the EU. By Stewart Burnett

UK thinktank The Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR) shared a report on 2 April warning that around 25,000 British car manufacturing jobs are at risk from Trump’s now-in-effect 25% automotive tariffs. This would equate to just under one-seventh of all employees working directly on vehicle manufacture in the UK, which sits at around 263,000.
