Chinese battery titan CATL has revealed its world-first mass-produced sodium-ion electric vehicle (EV) batteries—a breakthrough aimed at addressing cold-weather performance and safety challenges. Announced ahead of the Shanghai Auto Show, the sodium-ion batteries will be produced under CATL’s new brand, Naxtra.
