India’s recently-implemented PM e-bus Sewa scheme is showing results: in 2024, more than 3,600 new e-buses hit Indian roads according to local authorities. This represents a noteworthy one-third increase over the 2,700 e-buses registered in the country in 2023, which was itself a one-third increase over 2022.
