Early data shows continued Tesla backslide in Europe

Tesla’s registrations in France and Sweden for the first quarter are now officially their lowest in four years. By Stewart Burnett

Tesla appears to be facing a third consecutive month of backsliding European sales for 2025 as early figures from France and Sweden come in. Tesla registered 3,157 new cars in France and 911 in Sweden, dropping 36.8% and 63.9% year-over-year, rounding off what amounts to the automaker’s lowest first-quarter sales in the two countries since 2021.
