The EU has commenced early talks with the US about working around new tariffs as hopes for a ‘zero-for-zero’ deal on cars and industrial goods slip increasingly out of reach. At the same time, it is currently preparing a “robust list of countermeasures” on steel and aluminium, according to Trade Chief Maroš Šefčovič.
