EU, China restart talks on EV import duties

The US’ ongoing trade war could see the EU burying the hatchet with China on EV import duties. By Stewart Burnett

As the ever-changing US tariffs situation continues to wreak havoc and sow uncertainty across global markets, talks between the EU and China have resumed on electric vehicle (EV) prices. Both sides confirmed that on 9 April, China’s commerce minister Wang Wentao engaged European trade boss Maros Sefcovic by video call.
