Chinese automaker GAC announced at the Shanghai Auto Show that it will take full responsibility for safety in its upcoming SAE Level 4 robotaxis, to be produced as part of a new joint venture with Didi Technologies. The development coincides with recent regulatory tightening on autonomous vehicle technology and marketing in China.
