Honda moves Japanese Civic production to US to avoid tariffs

Instead of exporting five-door Civics from Japan, Honda will use its factory in Indiana to produce them in the US. By Will Girling

Back in early March 2025, Honda announced that it would utilise an existing factory in Greensburg, Indiana, to build its new Civic hybrid instead of Mexico. On 16 April, a company spokesperson stated the five-door Civic hybrid will also be moved there from Japan.
