Hyundai announced on 3 March 2025 that it is gearing up to produce electric vehicles (EVs) at its plant in İzmit, Turkey. While details on retooling efforts or what models will be produced at the plant are scant, it will expand its already-growing EV manufacturing footprint on the continent.
