Leapmotor has reached an agreement with Chinese state-owned automaker FAW to supply its electric vehicle (EV) platform for the premium brand Hongqi, which is currently looking to expand its global presence. The partnership was finalised at the Shanghai Auto Show, and will facilitate mass production of a Hongqi brand SUV starting sometime in H2 2026.
