MG is expected to announce its first European production facility by this summer, sources familiar with the matter told Automotive News Europe. The plant would allow the Chinese-owned British brand to bypass EU tariffs on its Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs), which currently face duties of 45.3% entering the bloc.
