New study reveals wide UK distrust in self-driving vehicles

UK dealership agents were often found to be lacking basic knowledge about ADAS capabilities, risking customer confusion and safety. By Stewart Burnett

New research from smart mobility consultancy DG Cities has revealed a substantial gap in UK trust towards self-driving vehicles that could pose a barrier to the technology’s implementation. 40% of drivers surveyed indicated that there is insufficient information about advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) at the point of purchase, with a further 30% distrusting a manufacturer’s ability to self-assess their own technology.
