Nio’s battery swap operation could break even in 2026

Western Securities believes that Nio could hit 61 services per swap station per day in 2026, finally putting the project in the black. By Stewart Burnett

Nio’s ambitious battery swapping business in China could break even by the end of 2026, according to a new assessment of the electric vehicle (EV) brand’s business by Chinese brokerage Western Securities. This would require Nio to conduct an average of 61 battery swaps per day per station, something the brokerage’s analysts believe is possible.
