Chinese robotaxi firm Pony.ai has announced it is the first to receive authorisation to operate a paid, fully-driverless robotaxi service in Shenzhen’s Nanshan district. The development marks the first time robotaxis are permitted to operate in the city’s centre, and the latest in Pony.ai’s steady expansion across key cities in China.
