Porsche will terminate 1,900 German jobs by 2029

Porsche blames the cuts on slow growth in the EV segment and a sales decline in Germany. By Stewart Burnett

Porsche has confirmed plans to terminate 1,900 jobs by 2029 as it switches its focus from electric vehicles (EVs) back to internal combustion engine and hybrid cars. The cuts will target the premium automaker’s plant in Zuffenhausen, which produces the Taycan, and a separate research and development facility near Stuttgart.
