Renault cuts 300 jobs at French van plant amid LCV sales dip

Renault estimates that segment-wide EU light commercial vehicle sales fell by 14.9% YoY in January, and 9.2% in February. By Stewart Burnett

Renault announced on 11 March 2025 that it will cut 300 jobs at its van factory in Normandy, France, amid declining sales in the segment. The factory currently employs 1,700 full-time employees and 600 interim employees; the layoffs will see the number of interim employees halved with their contracts not being renewed upon expiration.
