Stellantis shutters Vauxhall Luton van plant after 120 years

Formerly the jewel in the crown of Stellantis’ light duty electrification plans, e-van production will now be moved over to Ellesmere Port. By Stewart Burnett

Vauxhall Luton produced its final unit—a Vivaro mid-size van—on 28 March, bringing to an end 120 years of vehicle production at the historic site. Going forwards, Stellantis’ van production in the UK will be relocated entirely to its separate plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
